Hazel Lorah | Director of Sales

Hazel extends her 15+ years of experience at Crystal Catering now to CIBUS. Throughout her career, she has directed sales programs and event coordination at these world-class facilities:
            Crown Plaza at Historic Union Station
            NCAA Hall of Champions
            Colts Complex
            RCA Tennis  Championships

Special events have been an integral part of her career giving her great insight in her event planning at any location for any occasion. She has planned special events ranging from 20 to 2000 guests in many of Indianapolis’ most prominent locations. Hazel was nominated for the prestigious Rose Award for service excellence. Her passion for detail and event planning has earned her the reputation as one of the leading caterers in the city.

Now with CIBUS, she will play an intricate role working with a staff of skilled culinarians and professional servers in the preparation and service of creative, cutting-edge cuisine at your disposal. Bill Pitrelli | Corporate Executive Chef

Formally the Corporate Chef for Crystal Food Services, Bill handled the program oversight of all

He led Culinary Opening Teams in opening these venues:
            Indiana State Museum        
            NCAA Headquarters
            Indiana Government Center  
            Camp Atterbury

He led Culinary Teams in Special Events at these venues:
            Indianapolis Motor Speedway
            RCA Tennis Final Four
            Indianapolis Air Show
            Indianapolis Colts Complex
            Verizon Wireless Music Center
            NCAA Final Four

As you can surmise, Bill’s talent is rich in experience, extensive in knowledge and rivals any in the Midwest and deserves greater recognition than noted. Recently, Bill was earmarked as Executive Chef for the new Indiana Convention Center. Through this appointment, Bill designed menu, recipe, and staffing forecasts as well as concession design, for the Center’s success.

I am honored that Bill’s talents are now available to you and your event as the CIBUS Corp Chef.

Doug Brubaker | Director of Catering Operations

Doug was formerly the General Manager for Crystal Catering’s off-premise catering division. He executed all off-site catering out of The Fountains and the Murat Center located downtown and in Carmel, Indiana. His duties included staffing, coordination of front house catering and culinary logistics, as well as the sales liaison for all off-site events.

1998–2003:  Operations Manager at Indiana Roof Ballroom, where he hosted, executed, and properly staffed 1,350 catered events. Helped continue 85%-90% rebook rate.

1998–2007:  Area Lead Management / Catering Operations at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
            Hulman Tower Suites: ’98-01
            Legends Row Hospitality Area: 2002
            Pagoda 2003-2006: Oversight of the entire Pagoda complex               including set-up, client relations, and appropriate staffing.
              Executed all special events catering during race season. 
            Personal Mandate: Exceed client expectations

2003–2005:  RCA Tennis Tournament
Oversight of Racquets (indoor restaurant).  Provided majority of RCA hospitality staff.

Recruitment:  Doug Brubaker successfully fulfilled 35% of the Crystal Catering team at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and provided continuous weekly support for all of Crystal Catering’s banquet facilities throughout the years. His recruiting talent is a result of his exceptional personality and people skills that complement his understanding of our business and the value of our personnel. He is an exceptional individual.

Chris Mc Laughlin | Director of Catering Sales

Chris has many skill sets second to none. When he was hired in 2001, his talent was primarily in the culinary field. In 2002, he accepted a major role as a Front-of–the-house Operations Manager which led to his versatile qualities and rare peripheral perspectives to address any food service need.

Responsible for overall performance of five (5) Compass properties in
Southern Illinois and Missouri, which included hiring of management at locations,  P&L of each location, COGS, as well as business and marketing plans.

Properties included:
            Gateway Convention Center
            Title 3 Head Start programs for S. Illinois/Missouri
            Splash City, St. Louis MO.
            American Airlines Admiral Club System

Special Events:
            Hosted President Bush at Gateway Convention Center (Tort               Reform Speech)
            Hosted Southern Illinois Republican Convention

Chris returned to Indiana where, again, we have an individual of unique stature industry versatility and a character to provide the customer impact we demand in any venue, at any location, at any time.
